Anniversary Poem

Well, it's that time of year again, and here is another anniversary poem for my wife.  After struggling for about a week with an entirely different idea, this poem just came to me as we drove home one night and I wrote it out in about 10 minutes.

To My Wife 2011,

Sunshine is warm without your smile;

With it, it is warmth.

Rain is soothing without your touch;

With it, it is salve.

Music is enchanting without your embrace;

With it, it is revelation.

Food is satisfying without your laughter;

With it, it is contentment.

The world is admirable without your friendship;

With it, it is art.

Life is living without your love;

With it, it is joy!
